Ladies and Gentlemen… The season 2011 is about to start!
FIA tried to change the calendar for 2011 not to start with Australia and was backfired. The commotion in the middle-east simply did not provide the platform to start the season. So the excitement was put into the backburner, waiting for Melbourne.
A couple of weeks passed and we are back! The first race of the season. The great albert park circuit is about to be unleashed for 2011 with many changes in the cars like the new tires manufacturers and the KERS system.
Albert Park is a street circuit converted from public roads which circulating the beautiful lake located south of Melbourne city. It’s atmospheric natural environment represent the best of both world in term of the F1 event as well as the vacation location.
According to Michael Schumacher, this Albert Park is one of the highlights in F1 calendar as the circuit is so special. Seeing the fans having fun had given him a great feeling about this motorsports.
He believes that the MGP team has been preparing well for the first race despite the last minute hitch which will affect them had the Bahrain race was not postponed. He told that the hard work will paid off come the start of the first few races and about the situation there are in before things will change as it will be dynamic throughout the season.
Nico Rosberg thinks that Mercedes GP is in good shape as they have progressed a lot during the winter. He also likes the relaxed nature of Australia and was taken care well despite the time zone adaptation.
Nico confident in the team after the 4 pre-season tests was a success and remarked that the team and the car had progressed well during the winter. He is pleased with the performance and handling of the upgrades. Of course it is too early to put expectation on, but he said , it is a good step forward and will be better than previous season.
