Mercedes GP

With Mercedes GP inception about a week ago,  many changes are going on with the ex Brawn GP team. Rubens Barrichello left for Williams (Prior to MGP) and Jenson Button the new World Champion left for McLaren.

So, how about the fans? Some left with Jenson to McLaren, some left with Rubens to  Williams. As for me, I’m rooting and staying with the team which is now rebranded to become the Silver Arrow F1 Team lead by Ross Brawn.

Frankly, I’m really excited about this new team. The future of the team is secured as Daimler AG is a strong organization with many decades of presence in the premium  car industry. And Aabar Investments PJSC which is dealing with oil and gas business is another strong backer makes the financial side of the team really solid.

It’s a win win situation as the big organizations told that they entered into F1 because of it’s attractive limited expenditure on design, construction and running of the racing cars coupled with higher and lucrative income from the commercial rights.

Another reason to be excited is Ross Brawn still the master behind the team. The team principal will lead MGP into the F1 2010 with even better car design, tactics and strategy.

In my opinion, this team will go very far and will be among the elite teams like Ferrari and McLaren.
